This position will function as Team Leader, assisting Supervisor of Adoptions in the coordination and processing of work assigned to a specific team. Will carry a specific caseload and provide continuity of care, with the goal of permanent placement, for children through adoptions case management model that includes developing, expanding, accessing and linking resources and families in the community to the needs of the child throughout the child‚s experience in the system, while documenting progress. Function as lead member of a Family Care Team that manages a caseload ranging in age from Birth to Seventeen.

Skills / Requirements

BA/BSW or MA/MSW with 1+ years of direct experience and completed Florida certification as a Case Management Coordinator. Must be available to assist and train team members in timely completion of work assignments, court presentations, paperwork and certification process. Possess demonstrated knowledge of community resources. Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Ability to document in a clear, concise manner and to teach others to do so. Possess skills necessary to assess, interpret and deliver care-related information concerning the life-span development of children and families. Possess a positive attitude concerning all aspects of working in a challenging environment, including significant patience and respect for children and families who can become quite angry and demanding, sensitivity to cultural needs and willingness to serve as a positive member of a working team. Must possess a valid Florida Drivers License and be insurable by the Agency‚s current insurance carrier. Computer Literate.
